Nadifloxacin IP 1.0% w/w is a topical fluoroquinolone antibiotic formulation used for the treatment of bacterial skin infections, especially acne vulgaris. Nadifloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thereby preventing bacterial replication and growth. It is highly effective against Propionibacterium acnes (now known as Cutibacterium acnes), Staphylococcus epidermidis, and other gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria involved in inflammatory acne lesions.
