Dabigatran Etexilate 110mg is an oral anticoagulant used to prevent and treat blood clots. It works by directly inhibiting thrombin, an enzyme responsible for clot formation. By reducing clot formation, it helps prevent serious conditions such as stroke, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). This medication is commonly prescribed for patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism. It is also used after hip or knee replacement surgeries to prevent post-operative clot formation.
